Concert Day, Saturday 29 August
Please arrive already dressed in your concert clothes. The choir, percussion and all youth are called half an hour before the adult orchestra.
- 1.00pm — Call, choir, percussion and all youth
- 1.30pm — Call, adult orchestra
- From 2.00pm — Walk-through
- 4.00pm — Full dress rehearsal
- 6.10pm — Meal break, everyone together
- 7.00pm — Prayer together. Doors and bar open to the audience
- 7.30pm — Concert begins
- Around 9.30pm — Concert ends
- 9.40pm — Pick-up, at Door 1, opposite the box office
Please bring your own dinner. We provide snacks only. The backstage spaces have no way to heat food or keep it cold, so pack something that keeps without a fridge.
Parents: all youth are called at 1.00pm, unless you have been given a different time personally. Pick-up is 9.40pm at Door 1, the signed and bollarded Youth Pickup Point opposite the box office. It is not the stage door. Youth stay for the whole concert, they are not dismissed after their own items. Please pack a dinner for your young person; supervisors will make sure everyone has eaten.
The Venue
The Concourse Theatre, 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood. Ninety seconds' walk from Chatswood Station. Note this is the Theatre, not the larger Concert Hall in the same building.
Proms Dress Code
Formal. Black and white for everyone.
This page is the current version of the Proms dress code. If anything you have read elsewhere says something different, this page wins.
This is different from what many of us previously voted on, and that can feel jarring when something shifts after it seemed settled. What has changed is that the youth are joining us for this as a combined concert, so we need one clear, unified formal look across the whole ensemble. This is not about disregarding what members wanted. It is designed this way because of the nature of the event and to help us present together with clarity, dignity and cohesion.

Men
- White shirt, black pants
- Black belt, black shoes, black socks
- A black tie or bow tie
Women
- A modest white top with a skirt, or a black dress
- Black shoes with pantyhose
- Gold, silver or white jewellery is fine
Youth
- The same as everyone else
- Please arrive already dressed. There is no changing room for under-18s at the venue
Conductors
- Suits with a black or blue tie
Stagehands
- All black, with black shoes
